Environment Month
Gilard has always felt the need for environmental conservation. It puts its best possible efforts into reducing or eliminating the environmental negative impacts from its working processes. We have also been working on sensitizing our people and the immediate society on many environmental concerns. Our walkathon in the last quarter carried the message, “Say no to single-use plastic,” in which many Gilardians participated. The general public is mostly aware that plastic takes centuries to break down and our landfill waste is getting enormously out of control, but this concern gets subdued under the pressures of daily routine. The purpose of our walkathon was to convey the message to society to adopt sustainable alternatives, such as switching to reusable cloth bags and refusing to take single-use polythene bags from sellers while making purchases of daily needs.
